Students take tea with the Premier

Students from the Colleges of Science & Engineering and Business, Government & Law were invited to attend a morning tea with South Australian Premier Steven Marshall in recognition of their ongoing commitment to the South Australia Premiers Defence Industry Scholarship Program.

The scholarship program supports businesses in the defence sector providing placements for third-year and honours year University students. After a comprehensive application process, successful students are awarded a scholarship for placements that help them build in-demand skills, knowledge and experience through work-based learning opportunities.

The Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) team at Flinders has been pivotal in ensuring student applications are professional and focused. The team helps students have the best chance possible of securing such a prestigious scholarship, providing support to both industry and students so that this program continues to be successful.

Congratulations to all students who have undertaken or are currently completing this program.
