Campus updates

We’re working to enhance and maintain the spaces across our campuses, so please be aware of upcoming works around Flinders University.

Temporary changes to bus loop service

Please be aware that the train service from Adelaide has been closed due to electrification upgrades to the Gawler line. The closure is in effect until 10 October.

As a result, we have made some changes to the loop bus services at Flinders University during this time:

  • Station Express – will not drive into car park 12 but will take passengers directly from Stop 27 on South Road to Registry Road.
  • Campus Connector – will still drive into car park 12 and stop at Stop 27 on South Road before heading to FMC.

Flinders Uni bus services run from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Adelaide Coachlines will make the necessary changes to the BusMinder app while the current train closure is in effect. Please contact our customer service team via Service One or on 8201 2733 with any queries.

Visit Adelaide Metro for more information about the train line closure or alternative bus services during this time.

Temporary changes to Yunggorendi pedestrian access

As the new Yunggorendi cultural gathering space nears completion, please note that there will be some temporary changes to pedestrian access this week to accommodate deliveries between Registry building and the Student Centre/Yunggorendi Mande. Please observe the site perimeter fencing and any pedestrian signage.

Oval irrigation works

After a delayed start due to COVID-19 impacts on pipeline availability, the oval irrigation works commenced on Monday 27 September. A new irrigation system is being installed by Blubuilt contractors on Flinders’ upper and lower ovals until late October. This involves trenching across the ovals to install irrigation piping. As these trenches are being dug and refilled each day, there will be regular disturbance to the ovals’ surfaces and undulation as the turf resettles. Please note that the Pavilion located between these ovals is not accessible during this time. We ask that you follow any directional signage placed at the sites and suggest you take an alternative route around the ovals until works are completed.
