Fearless Conversations are back for 2022

During 2021, Flinders University delivered a series of Fearless Conversations that brought together industry leaders and our researchers, to fearlessly discuss the challenges that face our world and the opportunities available to South Australia.

These conversations inspired, informed and advocated for our state in a fearless way – encouraging us to work together and ensure that we emerge stronger.

This year and beyond, Fearless Conversations will continue to tackle a broad range of topics, delving deep into such areas as health, science, politics, the arts, our environment and more, to shine light on the issues that affect us all.

The first Fearless Conversation for 2022 will be held on Thursday 3 February from 6pm to 7pm, and will address the confronting health issue of whether cancer survivors get enough care.

It will bring together Professor Raymond Chan, Director and Professor of Cancer Nursing at the Caring Futures Institute, along with Flinders’ Professor Bogda Koczwara, Associate Professor Lisa Beatty and Research Support Officer Vikki Bedford.

Facilitated by broadcaster Julie McCrossin AM, who is also ambassador for Head & Neck Cancer Australia, this Fearless Conversation will tackle the issues surrounding the needs of cancer survivors, and how health services can better aid survivors of a disease that will directly affect one in two Australians by the age of 85.
