Go the distance with new running program

The Flinders University running club is back and better than ever. Its new program is designed in the same vein as parkrun, with a focus on participation, being active and moving your body – as well as supporting and encouraging fellow runners.

The program begins on Thursday 3 March and will be held each week at 7am. You choose to walk or run a 2.5km or 5km course. It’s all free and it’s a timed activity, so you can work towards improving your times and beat your own personal best.

Here’s your first peek of the course

Starting at the Flinders Station Plaza, you cross the train bridge path to the end, return, and then head around the bottom oval, up to the top oval, in front of the pavilion, down to the cricket nets and returning along the path to the start at Flinders Station Plaza. One lap covers 2.5km, so do two laps if you’re completing a 5km course.

All COVID-safe behaviours apply. Be sure to check in as you arrive, and maintain social distancing.
