New pathways lead international students to Flinders

As international students return to Australian shores, Flinders University is introducing a new international pathways model in 2023. This exciting new model involves a new entity with the sole purpose of delivering pathway courses for international students, which will allow students to be embedded in the University as soon as they arrive on campus.

The new entity will prioritise the concept of “a pathway to every degree” that will ensure any student who wishes to study at Flinders University has a pathway option available to them.

A business case for establishing this new entity was approved by the Vice-Chancellor in January 2022, leading to preparations for the new entity to start student recruitment from July 2022, for the acceptance of new students from early 2023.

The home for this new entity will be located on level 0 of the Library at Bedford Park.

This new pathway for international students marks an exciting time for Flinders University, forming part of our fearless vision to be internationally recognised as an innovator in contemporary education and the source of Australia’s most enterprising graduates.

For more information about the new international pathway model, read the email from Vice-President and Pro Vice-Chancellor Mr Sebastian Raneskold, sent to all staff on Monday 9 May.
