The refurbished Council Room is now available for booking, meanwhile works to upgrade learning spaces in Social Sciences North have commenced.

Council room ready to be booked 

Refurbishment of the Council room in the Registry building is almost complete and the room can now be booked for meetings. Upgrades include a new LED screen and executive chairs, along with a fresh coat of paint, professional carpet clean and internal window cleaning – providing a refreshed space for staff and visitors. Please note that work in the room is continuing, with window treatments, additional lighting and perimeter cushion seating to be installed in the coming weeks.

Learning Space Program – Social Sciences North

Works to upgrade learning spaces in Social Sciences North have commenced, affecting rooms 102 and 242 inside the building, and the entryway at the top of Humanities Road through to the SSN courtyard. Please be aware that you are likely to notice noise, vibration, dust and debris in the vicinity during demolition and construction. These works are expected to be completed by the end of July 2022.

There are some detours in place throughout the area, including to and from car park 5 to the SSN courtyard. Please take care when moving through the area and follow the directional signage at the site. For access assistance, please call Security on 8201 2880.

Hazardous Substance Audit

A Hazardous Substance Audit commenced across campus this week, taking in Flinders Living, Sturt, Tonsley, the Mark Oliphant Building, rural and regional areas, to ensure ongoing compliance with WHS regulations. You may notice contractors in buildings conducting visual inspections in the coming months. Please note, this is a broad program and the schedule may change at short notice. At this stage, we expect that the building audits will be completed by early October.
