Celebrating 50 years of Flinders child care

Flinders University Child Care Centre is celebrating 50 years of caring for the youngest members of the Flinders community, with past and present families, educators and staff joining in to attend a special event on Saturday 12 November.

To mark 50 years of fruitful and extensive collaborations and cooperation with the Flinders community, a celebratory gathering will be happening at the Flinders University Child Care Centre, Sturt Drive, Bedford Park, from 2-4pm on Saturday, 12 November.

Since 1972, when the Centre was established, thousands of staff, students and their families have been involved with the Centre. It has a rich history, with current Flinders staff who once attended as babies or young children now sending their own children to the Centre.

This history includes input by staff and students from the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work, who regularly engage with the Centre via placements and guest lectures, through to allied health students and academics, who help to ensure a well-rounded, nutritious, seasonal menu is provided to the children each day.

If you would like to attend the 50th anniversary celebration event, please send your RSVP to events@flinderschildren.com.au
