Key Indigenous lecture honours Uncle Lewis

Kyam Maher, South Australia’s Attorney-General and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, will deliver the 2022 Dr Uncle Lewis Yarlupurka O’Brien Public Lecture, an event this week that recognises and acknowledges Uncle Lewis’s senior knowledge, cultural scholarship and commitment to education.

The theme of this year’s lecture, being held on Friday 18 November at Flinders University Victoria Square, is Our past informs our future – the next steps.

Uncle Lewis is a Senior Kaurna Elder on Campus at Bedford Park who is demonstrating his ongoing contribution to higher education and generosity of spirit to the South Australia community.
