Celebrating success

Outstanding optometry work earns praise

Jacqui Warren and Associater Professor Jason Booth AM

Jacqui Warren, a senior lecturer and Placement Coordinator within the School of Optometry and Vision Science at Flinders University, and Associate Professor Jason Booth AM, Course Coordinator in Optometry, have been named as finalists in the Optometry Victoria South Australia Optometrist of the Year Award. This award is designed to recognise a member who has made an outstanding commitment to the profession over the past year, through innovation, initiative or demonstrated care. Jacqui ran Australia’s first optometrist-led clinic at a public hospital ophthalmology department in Modbury and recently established a collaborative model of care designed to bridge the gap between community-based eye care and hospital-based services to reduce the burden on the public health system.
