More than 400 staff members have so far attended new city campus showroom events since April 2023 – and now the focus will move on to prototype teaching rooms.

Three prototype teaching rooms have been established for academic staff, located in Physical Sciences 001, 003, and 004 at the Bedford Park campus. These prototype teaching rooms are similar in layout to the teaching rooms planned for the new city campus (being open, collaborative and flexible spaces) and have been improved to match the technology planned for the new city campus.

In partnership with the Learning and Teaching Innovation, a range of demonstrations to introduce the spaces and technology of these teaching rooms will be facilitated for academic staff will begin on Monday 28 August from 9.30am to 11.30am in Physical Sciences Room 003.

Academic staff can join this demonstration with no bookings required – but if you would like to receive a meeting request, please email festivalplaza@flinders.edu.au.

Additional demonstrations will be coordinated with the Colleges for academic staff in preparation for teaching at the new city campus. Academic staff are also welcome to book into the prototype teaching rooms outside of set demonstrations, so they can spend time to become more familiar with the technology.
