New festival helps us all to Thrive

As part of Wellbeing Week, the College of Business, Government and Law is hosting Thrive Festival on Tuesday 12 September.

Thrive Festival is reaching out to all staff and students by offering evidence-based tools, resources and inspiration that can empower you to take charge of your physical and mental wellbeing – and to thrive!

Inspiring guest speakers at the Thrive Festival include:

  • Dr Gareth Furber, speaking on the psychological tools you can use to improve your own wellbeing
  • Courtney Grigg, explaining how to achieve goals and overcome obstacles.
  • Eloise Hall, telling how she managed her own wellbeing while building her thriving social enterprise TABOO Period Products and simultaneously studying a double degree at Flinders.

A diverse range of stalls will present special attractions during the day, including Lions Hearing Dogs offering puppy cuddles, to help ease any start-of-semester nerves. Clay art, mindfulness colouring and mat pilates sessions will also be available for people to participate in, and there will be delicious lunch options including a community barbecue and an on-site pizza truck.

Event details:
