Flinders at State of the Territory

Representatives from Flinders University joined Chief Minister of the Northern Territory the Hon. Natasha Fyles at the recent State of the Territory 2023 address, hosted by CEDA.

The event provided an opportunity for Chief Minister Fyles to present her perspective on the potential opportunities for the NT in the relationship with the USA through their defence capability and interest in the region, and she reported on her recent visit to the USA and the importance of face to face conversation in improving understanding of our context, capacity and interests. Chief Minister Fyles also illustrated the Critical Care response capacity from the NT’s National Critical Care and trauma response team in relation to the Defence exercises and infrastructure in the NT, and outlined how NT infrastructure is critically resource dependent.

Chief Minister spoke with the Flinders’ table and acknowledged Flinders contributions to health, education, youth and social services sectors that are advancing economic development during her Q&A session.
