World Cup fever inspires new Diploma

Flinders University recently announced an exciting new extension to our partnership with Adelaide United Football Club (AUFC) with the introduction of a new Diploma of Sport Business that leverages the combined experience of Flinders curriculum with the success of Adelaide United players and management.

Commencing in 2024, the new Diploma will help students prepare for careers in a global industry. With integrated learning opportunities at Coopers Stadium and insights from Adelaide United guest lecturers, this one-year diploma will help students develop an in-depth understanding of the business of sport – from running local sports programs to marketing major teams.

Successful completion of the diploma will also let students step into the 2nd year of the Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) or Bachelor of Sport and Active Recreation.

With the incredible growth in interest around the sport of football sparked by the Women’s World Cup in Australia – there has never been a better time to announce this new offering.

The Diploma of Sport Business will give students a valuable, real-world understanding of how the business of Football really works and will help them take their first fearless steps towards an incredible, international career.

The partnership extension with AUFC comes after Flinders recently announced a new partnership with Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) reigning champions Adelaide Strikers WBBL.
