Congratulations to Flinders University Academy, which has been accepted for membership with English Australia, the peak industry body for English language programs in Australia.

Requirements for membership of English Australia included being in operation for more than a year, and a site visit from other English Australia members to review course structure, curriculum content, student and staff support. Membership to the industry body provides an excellent ‘seal of quality’ for promoting the program and the Academy, as well as providing opportunities to access best practice guidelines, staff professional development and involvement in sector representation.

More than 100 international students from 21 different nationalities commenced their studies in the Academy’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program in 2023, with many already passing on to their subsequent pathway or degree programs. The EAP teaching team, led by Director of Studies Dr Gilder Davila, is looking forward to an expanded program in 2024.
