Freebies during Welcome Week in the city

Welcome Week starts on Monday 19 February, giving staff an opportunity to explore the new Flinders University City campus, enjoy a complimentary Breakfast of Champions between 9am and 11am on the Monday and Tuesday, plus take refreshments while enjoying live music and obtain merchandise giveaways.

During Welcome Week, a special Cultural Awareness session will be available to all staff on Monday 19 February by Professor Simone Tur, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous), and Associate Professor Ali Baker. This session aims to promote self-learning and foster a shared understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait historical and contemporary experiences and priorities, as well as race relations. It is an opportunity for staff to expand their knowledge and awareness as the university grows its presence in a new urban landscape. Places are limited, so please register your interest to attend.

Welcome Week and drop-in activities do not require bookings – but you’ll need to download the One Festival Plaza app before Staff Welcome Week (Monday 19 February) to access your Breakfast of Champions item, Walker giveaways, discounts and offers from the precinct’s surrounding cafes, restaurants, bars and retailers.

This free app is available to download from the App store or the Google Play Store. Instructions to create an account are outlined below.
