Nominations are now open for the 2024 Professional Staff Awards, which recognise the exceptional efforts of individual staff and teams who represent Flinders University’s ethos and values in their work.
Our ethos and values define how we work, inform the decisions we make, and shape our shared interactions. To recognise this, there are six individual award categories and one team category:
• Student-centred: Recognising people who focus on student success, empower students as partners, encourage the student voice, provide timely and meaningful feedback, and celebrate student achievement.
• Innovation: Recognising people who solve problems by “thinking outside the box”; who promote personal enterprise and creativity; encourage teamwork and collaboration; are responsive and innovative when faced with new challenges; actively engage with business and industry.
• Integrity: Recognising people who maintain the highest professional and ethical standards at all times; are accountable for their actions and follow through on commitments; embrace diversity and promote equity, inclusion and social responsibility; treat others with courtesy and respect; and foster a safe and healthy environment for work and study.
• Courage: Recognising people who trust and empower, seize opportunities and embrace change, learn from experience, are open and transparent in communications, and pursue critical and open inquiry.
• Excellence: Recognising people who strive for excellence in every endeavour, commit to quality and continuous improvement, celebrate our achievements, deliver exceptional levels of service, and develop future leaders.
• Wellbeing: Recognising people who demonstrate outstanding commitment in promoting and supporting wellbeing at Flinders University, and who implement and promote strategy, policy, systems or initiatives that have a direct and positive impact on staff and/or students.
• Dream Team: Recognising significant team achievements and demonstration of values.
