Dr Liam Brady

Dr Liam Brady and co-authors li-Yanyuwa li-Wirdiwalangu [Yanyuwa Elders Group], Emeritus Professor John Bradley and Professor Amanda Kearney were awarded the Chief Minister’s Northern Territory History Book Award for Jakarda wuka (Too many stories): narratives of rock art from Yanyuwa Country in the Gulf of Carpentaria (Sydney University Press, 2023). The award recognises the most significant book about Northern Territory history published in the previous 12 months and is judged by a panel of industry experts including academics, historians and/or curators working in the field of Northern Territory history.

An article co-authored by Dr Tianchong Wang and the Chief of Education at UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education has been published by University World News. The article, “Open educational resources can address inequalities in HE”, explores how open educational resources can be leveraged to reduce inequalities in higher education access and quality.

Female entrepreneurship in Dubai

Dr Ashokkumar Manoharan

Dr Ashokkumar Manoharan led a study group from the College of Business, Government and Law to Dubai, where students engaged in peer-to-peer learning, attended masterclasses, and received mentoring from women social and digital entrepreneurs in the Arab region. This immersive experience provided the students with valuable insights into entrepreneurial career paths, and seeks to enhance the entrepreneurial landscape in the region. It also strives to promote female entrepreneurship as a means of economic empowerment.
