Learning and development is vital to developing a culture of continuous learning and improvement at Flinders. To help us achieve that, People and Culture met with senior leaders of professional staff to develop and launch a pilot program of 34 new workshops in 2024. These were designed to develop strategic staff capability, build networks across the organisation, and support individuals to thrive in their careers.

The new program has been popular, with a large majority of participants saying the workshop met their learning objectives and that they would recommend the workshop to a colleague.

Planning for the 2025 calendar is currently underway, and P&C want to hear from professional staff about what they would like included in the program for 2025 to best help in ongoing development and learning.
