We’re moving staff profiles to the Service One platform in order to improve how we manage staff profiles. These changes will enhance functionality and reduce risks through the removal of legacy database systems.
What is a Staff Profile?
If you are an academic or professional staff member with a HR record in Workday, a profile page was automatically created for you when you joined. A Flinders University Staff Profile is the standard for developing staff pages hosted on the university’s public website. You can share content about your professional and academic activities with students, colleagues and the public.
When will this happen?
You are now able to edit your Staff Profile through the Service One platform, which is a more user-friendly and intuitive experience. All existing categories will remain unchanged, and updating your details will become easier.
What you need to do.
All your current information, including attachments and your profile picture, will be migrated to the new Service One platform. You will need to:
- Edit your Profile – When you click ‘Edit Profile‘ on your existing profile page, you’ll be redirected to the Service One platform.
- Authenticate – You may need to reauthenticate via the Flinders University OKTA dashboard using your FAN credentials.
- Review your Profile – Ensure all your information, attachments, and images have been transferred correctly. Special characters or non-English text may need to be re-entered.
- Profile Picture – Your Staff Profile picture will replace your Service One profile picture. Pictures are publicly visible, please ensure it is appropriate and contains an image of yourself.
- Save changes – After making edits, be sure to save your changes. Your updates will appear on your profile page within about 20 minutes.
