A new approach to AI governance

A commentary article co-authored by Dr Tianchong Wang and the Chief of Education at UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok has been published and featured by University World News. “Why we need a balanced, two-tier approach to AI governance” tackles the crucial issue of AI governance in higher education, and argues that current “soft law” approaches fall short, with the authors proposing instead a robust two-tier framework: tailored government regulations and institutional risk-based strategies.
