Stage 2 of Hub flooring replacement underway
The flooring on the ground floor, in the lifts and on the staircases in the Student Hub is being replaced in sections, with stage 2 now underway. Access between floors will be maintained with one set of stairs and lift remaining open at all times. Work areas and diversions have changed for this stage, and will continue to change as work progresses. Please continue to follow the directions marked on signage in the area. Retailers remain open, but check their individual summer opening dates and times. Flooring work will continue until late January 2025.
Weekend works in Car Park 12
From 6pm on Friday 13 December, the entrance of car park 12 (adjacent Station Plaza and HMRB) will be closed for weekend drainage and resurfacing upgrade works.
If you park in car park 12, you will be permitted to exit until 7am on Sunday 15 December. Any remaining cars left in car park 12 will not be able to exit until 5pm on Sunday 15 December. Please follow directions of traffic managers and obey all directional signage. We expect that works will be completed by 5pm on Sunday 15 December.
New boiler for Law and Commerce building
On Monday 9 December the boiler in the Law and Commerce building is being replaced with electric reverse cycle heat pumps, removing the building’s reliance on gas and aligning with the actions in the 2030 Sustainability Strategy. During works, rooms and the corridor on level 3 will be affected, and the loading zone in car park 4 will relocated a few bays down. Look out for signage in the area.
Reminder – diversions for Laneway Works
Please follow diversions through the CHASS courtyard for access between the Bon Voyage café, Laneway, car park 5 and Oasis and the Hub and level 1 of the Central Library. Toilets are available in the Library. Ceiling works in the Matthew Flinders Theatre foyer, staircase landing and the breezeway will continue through summer.
Reduced campus bus service and FMC access
Starting this week, our Campus Bus services will change slightly. The Campus Connector route is being temporarily removed, which will impact two bus stops: car park 4 (Social Sciences) and Flinders Medical Centre (FMC).
The stop at car park 4 will be serviced by an amended Tonsley Link service.
To commute between FMC and the university, please use one of the many Adelaide Metro bus services which access Registry Road or stop 26D on University Drive.

Electrical equipment Test and Tag on North Ridge
To meet compliance obligations and keep everyone safe, electrical equipment will be tested and tagged throughout December 2024 in the Drama Centre, Matthew Flinders Theatre, Central Library and Flinders Connect during business hours.
