The Gender Pay Gap (GPG) measures the disparity in average or median pay between women and men across an organisation. A positive GPG percentage indicates that men are paid more on average than women.
On March 4 2025, the Workforce Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) published private employer GPG data for the 2023-2024 reporting period.
Flinders results (2023-2024)
Average total remuneration GPG is 11.8% (in favour of men), slightly above the industry benchmark of 11.4%.
GPG continues to be influenced by the disproportionate representation of women in comparison to overall workforce gender distribution, particularly in:
- Senior academic and professional roles, and
- Academic and professional employment categories
Flinders remains committed to reducing the GPG and continues to implement strategies for gender equity, inclusion, and support.
An Employer Statement is available on the WGEA website, and explains the factors contributing to our GPG and outlines the initiatives promoting gender equity, diversity, and inclusion at Flinders.
For more information on Flinders’ GPG Employer Statement, and industry comparison, visit the WGEA website. Preparation for the 2025 reporting period is underway, with submissions due by May 31 and results expected by year-end.
