A new Fraud and Corruption Management Policy has been released. This policy replaces the previous Fraud and Corruption Prevention and Control Policy, following a comprehensive review and sector benchmarking, as well as alignment with the relevant Australian Standard.
Key updates include the inclusion of foreign bribery as a form of corruption, in line with the University’s obligations under the Crimes Legislation Amendment (Combatting Foreign Bribery) Act 2024 (Cth). The policy now covers fraud, corruption, bribery, and foreign bribery.
All members of the University community are required to be aware of and comply with this policy. Any suspected fraud or corruption, including bribery and foreign bribery, must be reported as the earliest possible opportunity to the General Counsel and University Secretary and the Chief Financial Officer.
