The Library is making an Impact

Flinders University Library has released their  2024 Library Impact Statement, which showcases the positive outcomes of library initiatives undertaken last year. Revisit the highlights and see how the library has been enhancing their engagement with students, staff, and the university community.

Highlights for 2024 include:

  • Creating inclusive, culturally resonant spaces—highlighted by the honour of receiving permission to use the Kaurna word Ngutungka, and complemented by a commissioned artwork Journey into the Heart of Knowledge by Indigenous artist and Flinders alumnus Lawson ‘Wakawe’ Dodd
  • Advancing research with over $2.3m in publication fees through adoption and promotion of Read & Publish agreements
  • Enhancing student experiences with the publishing of their first Open Educational Resource and development of AI literacy tools
  • Over 28,000 visitors at the new City Campus Library
  • Receiving a Flinders Reconciliation Team Award for work done by their Education Engagement team
  • #1 rating in the Improving Flinders Services Survey
