New Pathways, Strong Foundations: Yitpi Yartapuultiku

In an inspiring collaboration that marks a progressive step forward in educational equity and cultural recognition, Flinders University and the newly established Yitpi Yartapuultiku Aboriginal Cultural Destination in Port Adelaide are proud to launch the Foundation Studies Program (Indigenous)—a 20-week university preparation course designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on their journey into higher education.

Whether you’re coming straight from school, returning to study later in life, or looking for a fresh start, this program meets you where you are.

Why choose this program?

  • Culturally safe and supportive learning environment
  • Weekly in-person classes at Yitpi Yartapuultiku, Port Adelaide
  • One-on-one academic support with small class sizes
  • Direct entry into 30+ Flinders University degrees upon completion
  • Open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants with Confirmation of Aboriginality

We also invite staff and community members to share this opportunity with networks, family, and anyone who may benefit from a culturally grounded introduction to university study. Classes begin in July 2025, spaces are limited and there are already eight enrolments confirmed!

If you or anyone you know is interested in enrolling, please contact Yungkurrinthi or complete the online form: https://flinders.jotform.com/251759188317872
