Partial closure of Sports Road adjacent to the HMRB begin this week, and the countdown is on to the opening of the new spaces on level 0 of the Central Library.

 

Sports Road partial closure

From Saturday 27 September to Saturday 4 October, Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) will be temporarily closing one lane of Sports Road, adjacent to the Health and Medical Research Building (HMRB), to safely remove the scaffolding around the Margaret Tobin Centre redevelopment site. The following access is retained:

• To/from Flinders Station and car park 12
• To/from the HMRB loading dock
• Pedestrian access
• In/out of the HMRB entrances
• Access to Flinders Medical Centre and Flinders Private Hospital.

Please allow extra time when accessing the HMRB, car park 12 and Flinders Railway station, follow directions of traffic management officials and signage, and observe speed limit changes in the area.

 

Central Library level 0 refurbishment update

Refurbishment works on level 0 of the Central Library are wrapping up this week. With a new concrete path, expansive windows and door on the northern side of the building, our new NVI and Flinders Connect spaces are nearly complete. Standby for the doors to reopen and barricades to come down! Until then, please continue to follow directions on signage and do not enter the works exclusion zone.
