Here at Flinders our underlying ethos centres students in all that we do. This includes encouraging student voices, empowering students as partners, and allowing for the provision of timely and meaningful feedback.
A project team is currently working to enhance the student feedback experience by moving the Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) to a new technology platform which integrates directly with FLO. It will provide an easy-to-use topic evaluation mechanism that offers a simpler, more streamlined experience for both students and staff, all in one system.
The team are preparing to release the new semester two and the majority of non-semester surveys for students on Monday 20 October 2025.
What do you need to know now?
Topic Coordinators can now check that their teaching teams have automatically populated in FLO correctly, and request changes if required.
Standard SET surveys are currently being created by the SET Administration Team as they were previously.
Historical survey reports are still available to view in the old SET system until it is decommissioned later in the year. The data will then be moved to the Flinders Intelligence Portal (FLIP), with instructions and support for accessing FLIP reports provided soon.
Training and Support
Online information sessions for Topic Coordinators have begun, and are available to book through iEnrol here.
These sessions will demonstrate how to navigate the new tool and get your surveys started, with further sessions covering reporting to be made available soon after.
Further information to support teaching staff is also being developed on the Staff FLO Support pages and and will be shared shortly.
