As we move into the holiday period, we want to remind all staff that our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will continue to be available should you need support. While this time of year can bring joy, connection and a chance to unwind, it can also be a period of added pressure, mixed emotions, or unexpected challenges. Please know that you don’t have to navigate any of that alone.
Our larger providers are available as below:
Psychmed – will be open throughout the holiday period apart from public holidays, although staff will be light over Christmas week.
Human Psychology – will have ‘skeleton staff’ arrangements during the break, where telehealth EAP appointments will remain available on working days. However, 24/7 EAP services will continue via Assure Programs during this period.
Please reach out directly to our other providers for their availability: Employee assistance program – Flinders University Staff.
Lifeline provides confidential crisis support that is accessible 24 hours a day on 13 11 14.
If you would like to connect with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Crisis Supporter you can call 13YARN on 13 92 76 (24 hours/7 days).
Please also see our support resources page for other external support if needed: Health and wellbeing – Flinders University Staff.
As we wrap up the year, we also encourage everyone to take a little time to rest, recharge and check in with yourselves and those around you. Please look after your wellbeing, enjoy the moments of calm where you can, and reach out for support if things feel a little heavy.
