Introducing the College of Health and Enablement

With significant growth on the horizon, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences has taken the opportunity to reassess its existing name and develop one more reflective of the many disciplines that call it home.

Welcome to the College of Health and Enablement (CHE)! A name that reflects a desire for all of its disciplines to feel included, valued and equally respected.

After extensive internal and external consultation, it was agreed that the College of Health and Enablement more accurately reflects the breadth of activity across its 11 disciplines and professions associated with health, sports and exercise, disability and community inclusion.

Community connection and collaborative practice are at the core of the College’s vision, and this new name sets the stage for the significant strategic focus that the Flinders HealthCARE Centre will bring when it opens in 2029.

For now, there is a lot to do! Implementing the new college name will take time and effort across multiple systems, including website, email signatures, course loop, signage, marketing, data collection and communications.

We ask that you follow any updating instructions as soon as you receive them, and we appreciate your support throughout this process.
