Drive with caution in Sturt car park 14
On Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 June, the College of Medicine and Public Health is conducting its annual ‘mass casualty motor vehicle field incident’ practicals with medical students inside and in front of the paramedic ambulance shed at Sturt.
To allow space for the pracs, the adjacent loading bay will be unavailable. If you’re parking in car park 14, please drive slowly and exercise caution when the pracs are underway as additional students and staff will be in the car park. Please stay out of the cordoned off area.
Window cleaning – including using a drone
Through the rest of May and into June, we are continuing to clean windows on our campus buildings. So long as weather conditions remain favourable, windows on the following buildings will be cleaned over the coming week:
- Sturt West
- Biological Sciences
- Physical Sciences
- Law and Commerce
- Social Sciences North
- Social Sciences South
- Yungkurrinthi Trruku.
If you’re working in or visiting these buildings, please keep the windows closed.
Please stay out of the work exclusion zones which will be set up below the windows being cleaned and follow directions on signage and from staff.
City Campus level 6 upgrade
Works on level 6 of the City Campus are ongoing until the end of this week with restrictions in place on the southern side of the building. This work will expand teaching capacity with two clinical labs and hi-fidelity rooms, a multipurpose lab and home simulation lab.
While unavailable to book now, the two recording booths will be back online from Monday 1 June.
Reminders about audits in every lift
Over May and June, every lift across every campus and precinct is being audited for safety, compliance and naming consistency. Consultants will only need to work in each lift for a 10-minute period, so if they are in the lift you need to use, just ask and they will provide immediate access.
Car park 1 lighting upgrade
Between 6:30am and 5:00pm on Friday 5 June, we will be starting investigative works to improve lighting in car park 1.
Small sections of parking bays on the middle and lower levels will be cordoned off and unavailable during works. The upper level will not be impacted. Please slow down and take additional care when moving through the car park especially when workers are on-site. For safety reasons, please do not remove any car park bollards and please do not enter work areas.
