
Electrical shutdown works 11 and 18 July
Electrical shutdown works will occur during the July mid-semester break.
- On Saturday 11 July in the Tonsley main building, and
- On Saturday 18 July in the South Lecture Theatres and the Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences buildings.
In most cases, buildings and lifts will be closed during works. If you work or study in these locations, please refer to the full program of works.
Electrical maintenance
The July schedule of compliance testing – test and tagging of electrical appliances, and testing of electrical safety switches (residual current devices or RCDs) will be conducted in the following buildings from Wednesday 1 July:

This testing requires a short power outage. Therefore, to minimise disruption testing is conducted out of usual hours (between 6am and 9am) unless otherwise advised. |

Reminder – car park 1 temporary restrictions
On Thursday 2 July, there will be parking restrictions in car park 1 (upper level). Please consider parking elsewhere, so students are given priority to park for exams in the Alan Mitchell Building. Read more>
Reminder – crane lift for Physical Sciences building works
A crane will be positioned in the entrance to the former car park 7 on Saturday 4 July to lift equipment onto the roof of the Physical Sciences building for the Physical Sciences building roof renewal project.
A reminder that pedestrian access is temporarily altered both within the Physical Sciences building, and between Anchor Court, the Biology Discovery Centre and car park 8.
Please follow directions on signage and from staff and do not enter construction areas.
