Flinders is seeking feedback on a proposed Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence Policy, to empower our community to explore, adopt and use AI safely, ethically and responsibly.
The University acknowledges AI presents significant opportunities to improve productivity, enhance service delivery, support innovation, strengthen decision-making and create value for students, staff and partners, provided there are necessary and appropriate protocols in place.
The university-wide policy is intended to enable innovation and responsible experimentation of AI, while ensuring that governance, oversight and controls remain proportionate to the technology’s risks and impacts. The draft policy outlines clear expectations for permitted, restricted and prohibited use of AI at Flinders.
You can view the draft policy and supporting documents at the Flinders website: https://www.flinders.edu.au/policies/comment-draft-policies.
Staff are invited to provide their feedback to policy@flinders.edu.au by Friday 4 September.
