Know a future engineer or cybersecurity professional? There’s still time to apply for our degree apprenticeship, with 2027 applications closing on 28 September.

Degree apprenticeships allow students to earn a salary while completing a university degree. They combine academic study with paid employment, helping students build practical skills and industry connections before they graduate.

The program creates more pathways into higher education while helping address skills shortages in key industries.

Staff can help us reach more future students. Please share this opportunity with school leavers, parents, teachers and careers counsellors in your family, friendship groups and professional networks.

Degree apprenticeships available in 2027

  • Mechanical Engineering.
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Students spend two to three days each week studying at Flinders and the remaining days working with an industry partner. They can apply what they learn from day one in fields such as defence, advanced manufacturing and infrastructure.
