Learn how to explain your research clearly and confidently to people outside your field by attending a workshop for Flinders researchers.

Ideal for researchers at any career stage, the Communicating the value of your research to non-technical audiences workshop will provide you with practical tools and techniques to help you articulate technical or complex ideas or information into simple and accessible terms, helping others understand the value, impact and real-world applications of your research.

Facilitated by Emily Chang, Co-founder and Partner at Cruxes Innovation, you’ll learn:

  • How to identify your target audience and understand what matters most to them.
  • Techniques for explaining complex ideas in a clear, engaging and memorable way.
  • Tips for communicating the value and impact of your research.
  • How to have more effective conversations with industry, research and community partners.
  • Tools to help you build confidence when speaking about your research to non-specialist audiences.

Whether you’re building new relationships or looking to strengthen existing ones, you’ll leave this workshop with practical skills you can apply immediately.

This session will be delivered online via Zoom. Registered participants will receive a calendar invitation and meeting link before the workshop.
