Incisive evaluation helps shape future hospital

Tiffany Idle, a Master of Social Work student at Flinders University, has completed an important Consumer & Community Engagement Evaluation for the Women’s and Children’s Health Network, which will have an significant bearing on planning for a new hospital.

Ms Idle’s publication was made available to the public through the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Website, and the suite of recommendations offered in the report will be featured in planning for the proposed new Women’s and Children’s hospital, and carried across into the new Consumer and Community Engagement Strategy 2019-2022.

These recommendations range from ensuring a culturally appropriate Aboriginal voice in health consumer representation, more clearly defined individual staff performance measures, improved promotion of activities and strong ties with WCHN community teams, through to sustainable resourcing and changes in workflows and models of care.
