Room upgrades and relocation

An upgrade to the Sturt South Room S210 has commenced as part of the University’s Learning Space Program, and the Staff Computer Room in Social Sciences North will move to Engineering from 21 October.

New teaching space for Sturt South S210

Sturt South Room S210 will become a flexible, contemporary, accessible, tiered learning space complete with new audio-visual facilities. Decorated in a neutral palette, it will provide capacity for 70 people.

There will be some noise associated with the building works, as construction commences this week. Staff are asked to please observe all signage and where possible avoid this area.

Room S209 has been taken off-line for the duration of this project to minimise potential disruption due to the building works. Please find an alternative room in the meantime.

In addition to the S210 lecture theatre upgrade, a new informal student space is being created outside the theatre. This will include a waiting area designed for small group work and two enclosed meeting rooms.

The work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the year and will result in a great new space for Sturt.

Staff computer room relocation

The Staff Computer Room located in Social Sciences North Room 104 will be relocated to Engineering Room 451 from Wednesday 21 October 2020.

The relocation places this valuable staff teaching space within the same area as the CILT group, who manage the room.
