Have your say on new Non-Award Courses Policy

The draft of a new Non-Award Courses Policy and supporting procedures is currently available for comment. This policy sets out the principles which apply to the design, development, approval, course management, quality assurance and monitoring of non-award courses at Flinders University.

It covers any educational program that does not result in an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) award from Flinders University or a Flinders University academic transcript (non-award course). This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Short courses
  • Micro credentials
  • Continuing professional development courses
  • Workshops
  • Seminars
  • Field schools

The draft of new Non-Award Course Procedures specifies the process and authorities for developing proposals and obtaining approval for new, changed and discontinued non-award courses, and the management and quality of non-award courses.

The draft of the new policy and procedures has been developed in alignment with the Department of Education, Skills and Employment’s National Microcredentials Framework.

Submit your comments on the draft policy and procedures to policyandsecretariat@flinders.edu.au by Thursday 28 April 2022.
