Nobel Peace Prize winner aims for ZERO solution

Can South Australia be the first ZERO state? Flinders University is presenting a public lecture by Nobel Peace Laureate, Professor Muhammad Yunus, about how South Australia can achieve the ambitious aim of eradicating poverty, unemployment and carbon emissions.

Professor Yunus’s latest book, A World of Three Zeros, declares that it’s time to admit the existing capitalist engine is broken.

Professor Yunus issues a challenge to all South Australian citizens – from young people to business and political leaders – to embrace his mission to introduce sweeping change that reduces poverty, unemployment and pollution to zero levels.

The lecture, being presented by Flinders University and the Don Dunstan Foundation, supported by STEMSEL and The Wyatt Trust, will be held at the Matthew Flinders Theatre at Flinders’ Bedford Park campus, from 5.00pm-6:30pm on Thursday 22 March 2018.

Copies of Professor Yunus’ book, A World of Three Zeros, will be available for purchase at the event.

Attendance at this event is limited, so staff are advised to register now.
