Congratulations to Flinders University academic Associate Professor Nicola Dean, who has been appointed president of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), an elected role with a two-year tenure. Associate Professor Dean’s appointment marks the first time in the Society’s 50-year history that a woman has been elected president.

Vaccination Wars is a new publication that broadens the findings of Dr Ella Stewart-Peters’ PhD examining the history of vaccine objection in nineteenth-century Cornwall, and illustrates that for as long as there have been vaccines, there have been those who oppose them.

Dr Stewart-Peters shares these historical insights with MD students through Health Professions and Society lectures and is our resident expert for Student Progress and Assessment in CMPH.
