Flinders MD students in the Northern Territory are a resourceful and thoughtful group. They have joined with the Starrh (Rural and Remote Health multidisciplinary student network) raised funds through the Annual Ball for the Darwin Domestic Violence emergency housing and support, successfully collaborating across the health network. Last month with the NT Primary Health Care Network NTMP and Starrh students coordinated a student led trip to East Arnhemland visiting local schools and health care facilities and seeking to support a greater awareness of the local pathways for health training.
The Darwin campus based at Charles Darwin University is also the site for the Paramedicine degree. This has provided opportunities for students to collaborate in their study spaces and we look forward to some more social networking around food over the next year.
