CRH signs editing contract to produce mental health handbook

A significant achievement for the Centre for Remote Health (CRH) was the recent signing of a book contract with Springer Publishing to produce the Handbook of Rural and Remote Mental Health, a definitive text on the provision of mental health services in rural and remote contexts.

The handbook being edited by CRH Director Professor Tim Carey along with colleagues at Charles Sturt University and the Australian Psychological Society covers a broad range of issues relevant to the provision of efficient and effective mental health services in rural and remote contexts from specific disorders to the social determinants of health.

A variety of national and international mental health experts from a number of different professions will be providing chapters for the book.
