Palmerston GP Super Clinic hosted a three-day ‘Boot camp’ in November for 2nd Year Flinders University, Northern Territory Medical Program (NTMP) students. This new initiative introduces students to learning in the clinical context of General Practice.
The program, hosted and facilitated by Dr Chris Harnden and the Palmerston Super Clinic team, consisted of tutorials followed by clinical skills stations in mental health, child health and orthopaedics and techniques for examining the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
Thankyou to Dr William Majoni, Dr Anna Nakauyaca, Dr Carolyn Little, Mr Janek Mehta, Dr Anne Kleinitz, Ms Pam Harnden, Dr Indee Poddalgoda, Dr Shivon Jain, Dr Nathan Lowe, Dr Sweety Syed and Dr Zoe Radford and those who were examined and played roles. Your contributions have really enhanced our program.
FCD Health Ltd, a partnership of Charles Darwin and Flinders Universities, operates the clinic on behalf of the Northern Territory Department of Health and the universities offer academic supervision for medical, physiotherapy, and dietetics students.
