Eight young Territorians (pictured) were recently involved in testing an ‘inter-professional activity with a twist’ in the Clinical Skills rooms at Flinders NT.
They used brain power and teamwork to solve a medical emergency scenario that was designed at the end of 2017 by a group of year 10 IMPACT students hosted at Flinders Northern Territory Medical Program (NTMP).
The year 10 students were given access to Flinders facilities and equipment to find inspiration and to research and design the scenario. They did an exceptional job and their work will be used by Flinders for future events.
IMPACT is a leadership program for school students in the Northern Territory and the Kimberley. IMPACT focuses on social action, skill development, and positive networks, empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to be active community members and role models while assisting them to complete Yr12.
