The HDR Central Space is a dedicated study area for HDR students at the Flinders University main campus. It has been designed to cater for all students, especially part-timers and those with impairment.
The space is versatile and has distinct study zones within the one area.
- There are quiet workspaces which can be individual offices at certain times, for example when students are utilising software and/or devices to enable their research.
- There are also small occupancy spaces that can be closed off to suit the needs of student groups needing to work communally.
HDR Central also has a dedicated PC with specialised statistical software. This initiative aims to give HDR students and staff quick, and easy access to statistical packages beyond that of the widely available IBM SPSS and AMOS or free of charge R (statistical programming language). It is aimed for situations when the software may be needed for a short time making its purchasing not viable and cost-effective. Book the Stats PC here.
