Streamlining HDR International Travel Approvals

The Office of Graduate Research (OGR) have recently implemented a streamlined approach to international travel approvals for HDR students. This update simplifies the process for both students and supervisors.

Key updates include:

Revised Application Form:
It is no longer required to send copies to the OGR to seek approval, the Principal Supervisor is responsible for maintaining records of all approved documentation. The travel application form has been updated to reflect these changes.

Principal Supervisor Approval:
For travel to DFAT Level 1 and 2 countries, the Principal Supervisor will be the sole approver.

VPED Approval:
Travel to DFAT Level 3 and 4 countries will continue to require approval from the VPED.

Updated HDR Travel page:
The HDR Student Travel website has been updated accordingly to reflect the new processes, forms, and requirements.

These updates reflect a return to pre-COVID practices and will streamline the international travel process for students, supervisors, and administrative staff.

For further details, staff and students are encouraged to refer to the updated guidelines on the HDR Student Travel webpage.
