Flinders University will be closed from 1:00pm Wednesday 24 December 2025 and re-opens on Monday 5 January 2026.
Please note the following arrangements for HDR Thesis examinations in the lead-up to the closure period.

Thesis Submissions
- The HDR Exams team will continue sending theses to examiners until 1 week before the University closure.
- This ensures exams staff are available to assist examiners with technical support after receiving the thesis.
- Thesis submissions received by the Office of Graduate Research in Inspire (following supervisor approval) by 28 November will be prioritised.
- We will resume sending theses to examiners in early January 2026.
Thesis Results
- Examiners will be requested to return reports within 7 weeks if the examination period overlaps with the University closure. Please note that examiners commonly take additional leave at this time of year and may require more time. Students can check their estimated due date in Inspire (Examination Status Overview).
Thesis Amendments & Graduation

- Students who complete after 5 December will have their award conferred in January 2026.
