Digital Platforms and Operations team structure changes

Please be advised of the following changes to the Digital Platform Services team in Digital Platforms & Operations.

Revised Team Structure

The Digital Platform Services team structure has been revised to an activity focused structure, with clearly defined responsibilities for support, initiatives and technologies (as highlighted in the attached document).  The new structure also delivers a technical resource pool (including product Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)), that are engaged to work on support, initiatives and new technologies as directed, which enables an agile approach to service delivery.

The activity focused responsibilities are as follows:

Digital Platform Support Team Leader, David Dickinson (acting)

The Support Team Leader is responsible for Business as Usual (BAU) activity including incidents, work requests and housekeeping. David Dickinson is the point of contact for BAU activity and escalations and oversees Digital Platform Services recovery effort for Class 1 incidents. BAU services is Digital Platform’s priority work, and David is ensuring the demands for BAU services are met.

Digital Platform Initiatives Team Leader, Sean McEvoy

The Initiatives Team Leader is responsible for delivery of Digital Platforms operational initiatives that support sustainability and innovation.  Sean is the point of engagement for customers with new requests, requirements, concepts and ideas; and coordinates the delivery of Digital Platform Services activity for business initiatives and projects.  Sean ensures the right Digital Platform Services SMEs and technical staff are assigned to assist with the delivery of change.

Digital Platform Technology Team Leader, Adrian Mutton

The Technology Team Leader is responsible for the on-premise and cloud technologies, including overseeing the technology strategy, product architecture, directions and road maps. Adrian coordinates the evaluation and selection of new technologies and engages the right Digital Platform Services’ SMEs to assist with delivery.  Adrian also delivers and coordinates the staff training and development plan, and ensures that the technical standards, guidelines and documentation are being maintained.

Please provide Sean, Adrian and David with your support in their revised roles.

Database Support Handover

Commencing Monday the 13th May 2019, Digital Platform Services will take responsibility for the Database Administrators from Business Systems (Chris Simmons team).  The DBAs work activity will be aligned to the revised Digital Platform Services team structure of support, initiatives and technology (as summarised above). For DBA support work, please continue to raise Assyst tickets (noting major incidents or urgent requests should also be raised with David Dickinson, the Support Team Leader), and for initiatives or project activity, please engage Sean McEvoy at the initial point of contact.

New joiners

A big welcome to Priya Dodda and Abdul Samad into the Digital Platform Services team.
