Auf Wiedersehen Vienna!
Over the last 2 months Claire and I have had some of the most amazing, inspiring and unique opportunities and experience we would never have imagined that we would be fortunate enough to have.
We have experienced living in a country so closely connected to others, a 2-hour train ride lands you into another country with another, language, national cuisine and perspective on life. We have attended concerts and balls, seminars and conferences, and worked on projects ranging from Earth Observation to Space-based data centres. We have had opportunities to network and take our theoretical skills into the real word from lunch-time debates on global issues to developing our understanding of
countries perspectives and motivators.
However, these amazing opportunities don’t compare to the kindness, joyous and memorable people we got to share offices, projects and free time with over these last couple of months. Claire and I are forever grateful for these people, knowing we have created life-long friendships with people of truly kind hearts. We wish them all the best and can’t wait to encounter them throughout our careers in the space industry. As we finish our internship, we remember these good times and reminisce on the people we were before we arrive, contrasting to the people we are today, our minds open and full of possibilities for the future. We thank the JBC and ESPI for the partnership they have created to allow this internship and look forward to it continuing over the future years.
