Botanical Publications from Flinders’ Investigator Voyage

A display in the Noel Stockdale Room and Library entrance, curated by Dr Lance McCarthy, to celebrate the bicentenary of the publication of two influential botanical works resulting from research made on Matthew Flinders’ Investigator voyage: Robert Brown’s On the Proteaceae of Jussieu and Prodromus Florae Novae Hollandiaeand Ferdinand Bauer’s Illustrationes Florae Novae Hollandiae. For the duration of the exhibition, the Noel Stockdale Room will be open between 9.30 am and 5pm on weekdays, unless previously booked. Lance McCarthy will be in attendance from 11.30-2 on Friday 19 November, Friday 3 December, Tuesday 7 December and Friday 17 December to discuss the exhibition with visitors.
