Centre Manager, Australia-China Centre for Personal Health Technologies

Opportunity to support an international research centre with ambitious goals for developing advanced health technologies!

Join an expanding team at Flinders University, focused on early-stage development of new medical devices.  The Australia-China Centre for Personal Health Technologies is just about to be launched and we are looking for an exceptional Manager to join our team to support the Centre’s operations.  You’ll be working with a collaborative international team to empower them to deliver exceptional research results and build ongoing research opportunity.

  • Available on a fixed-term, Part-time basis until 1 May 2022
  • Salary (HEO7): $83,270 to $92,400 pa full-time equivalent

MedTech Ventures Case Manager

Exciting opportunity to work with MedTech start-ups and grow Australia’s sector!

In this role you’ll be working with new ventures from across Australia, connecting them with the right research expertise, mentoring them as they develop their commercialisation strategies and supporting their applications to the $22.3 million Biomedical Translation Bridge Program.  You’ll be working along like-minded colleagues committed to growing Australia’s medtech sector, who value innovation and have exceptional capabilities in research, commercialisation and partnership.

The Biomedical Translation Bridge Program (BTB) is a $22.3 million initiative supported by federal government, nurturing early stage health and medical research ventures to reach proof-of-concept. The Program is delivered through a partnership between MTPConnect, BioCurate, UniQuest and the Medical Device Partnering Program of Flinders University.

Under generally unguided supervision, the MedTech Ventures Case Manager will lead all aspects of Flinders University’s involvement in BTB and contribute more broadly to the growth of the medical devices agenda across Australia. They will support BTB applicants and MedTech ventures from initial enquiry right through to completion of funded projects and ongoing monitoring and support. The MedTech Ventures Case Manager will be a key facilitator of early stage medical device research collaborations across Australia.

Interstate travel will be required.

National Program Manager, MDPP

The Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP) is a national initiative supporting the early stage development of new medical technologies.
Under broad to generally unguided direction, the National Program Manager, MDPP, will be responsible for the expansion and support of the Program across Australia. In their role they will attract and secure partnerships that embed the Program within new regions and drive sustainable operations. The National Program Manager will be a key driver of the strategy for the Program moving forward and will ensure continuous improvement of processes and business tools. The National Program Manager will be exceptional at building and managing relationships and be an effective project manager.
